Nunda Township is hosting a free document shredding event For Nunda Residents! Bring your sensitive documents and personal papers for secure, on-site destruction.

It’s easy — just pull up and open your trunk! Documents will be removed from your vehicle and loaded directly into a professional shred truck for immediate destruction. No need to get out of your car.

Location: Nunda Township Town Hall, 3510 Bay Road, Crystal Lake, Illinois

Compost Giveaway

The Nunda Garden Club, in cooperation with the McHenry County Enviromental Defenders and the U of I Extensions program will be hosting a compost giveaway as part of International Compost Awareness Week.

Yard Waste Collection Service

MDC Environmental Services provides yard waste collection for residents in unincorporated Nunda Township. Yard waste collection typically runs from the first collection day in April until the last collection day in November.

Place yard waste in 30-gallon paper bags and set them at the curb on your designated pick-up day. MDC’s team will collect your yard waste and turn it into useful resources.

Meetings Occur the Thursday of every month At 7:00 PM, except April when they occur on the second Tuesday of the month follow immediately following the annual town meeting.

Well Water Testing

The Nunda Township office serves as a drop-off location for the McHenry County Department of Health (MCDH) well water testing program. Water sample bottles are available at the Township during office hours.
